Castle Rock Collaboration (CRC) is building a partnership with those who appreciate sandstone beauty and solitude and are ready to help preserve open space through purchases of state-owned lands. The first stage of our land-purchase plan, the Castleton Tower Preservation Initiative, targets the state-owned lands forming the entry corridor of Castle Valley and the approaches to Castleton Tower. We need to buy this land to protect it from development and assure that it remains open to the public. Our goal is to eventually purchase all of the 4,500 acres of unique and irreplaceable desert country currently owned in Castle Valley by the Utah School and Institutional Trust Lands Administration (SITLA) and now threatened with development.
